A Town Split in Two

Quite literally, this town, half in Belgium and half in the Netherlands, is split in two by an international border. Thankfully you don’t need a passport to go outside your door, but the border is marked with pavement lines, signs, and little flags on every building in town. This border exists almost as an accident of history, one dating back hundreds of years. The people living there have figured out how to make this work with ease, but a visitor is likely to be confused, and bemused.
